Bedding

Absorb-a-Bed™ is a new and innovative stable bedding.  The raw material used to produce Absorb-a-Bed™ is sourced from paper re-cycling mills, being the short fibres which are unsuitable for producing re-cycled paper.  The wet raw material is mechanically processed and kiln-dried to a consistent 95% dry matter horse bedding.

The special feature of the short fibres used to manufacture Absorb-a-Bed offer the user a number of benefits:
  • Easy to use
  • Convenient to buy, delivered straight to your door
  • Massive opportunity to reduce your bedding costs
  • Reduce diposal cost of your waste bedding and muck heap
  • Availability and quality never effected by seasonal weather conditions
  • Recycled material, environmentally friendly
  • Good for use in horse-boxes for cleanliness and odour control
Q&A's

What is the weight of the bags?

The bags are 20kg. Absorb-a-Bed is more dense than other bedding therefore fits into a small bag. Don't be deceived by the small bag. A small amount is highly effective. A little goes a long way.

How to use Absorb-a-Bed?

On mat: Place a light covering over the mat change soiled areas daily.

Deep litter: Mix with the bedding of your chioce at around 20-30% inclusion. Use more for dirty horses to achieve a healthier stable. Used as an absorbent. Absorb-a-Bed will increase the life of your regular bedding and therefore save money and time mucking out.

Is it dusty?

The dust content is kept to a minimum.

Can I spread it on the land easily?

Yes. Absorb-a-Bed is bio-degradable and is excellent as a compost for application on the land.

The bedding supply industry over the last 20 years has changed dramatically. Recently, emphasis on dust-free bedding has been a priority due to dust-related breathing problems. This has led to a multitude of dust-free bedding products that lack absorbency. This has resulted in problems with wet stables, ammonia and a high usage in bedding materials meaning increased costs.
